Will you accept my health insurance?
In emergency situations, our emergency department will accept your health insurance, regardless of network status. Our priority is to address your medical emergency first, then handle financial matters afterwards. We will collaborate with your insurance provider to resolve the details of your emergency room visit. It's important to note that all health plans are required to cover emergency room visits at the same level as in-network providers. How much will it cost without insurance?
The total cost of your visit can vary widely depending on the medical care required. Generally, emergency room visits, including imaging and lab work, can range from $400 to $1,850. For extended observation periods (3 to 24 hours) to rule out serious conditions, the self-pay rate is $3,000. If you're concerned about costs, we recommend exploring our FHS membership program, which includes emergency room visits at no additional cost. Membership plans start at $125 per month for individuals, with options available for couples and families as well. Why did I receive two bills?
Due to legal and insurance requirements, we must separate our billing into two components. While both bills relate to the same visit, one covers the professional services provided, and the other covers facility charges such as emergency room use, supplies, imaging, and laboratory tests. For more information about our billing process, please visit our website or contact our billing team during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at (737) 241-9033 or billing@familyhospitalsystems.com.How do I access my medical records?
Patients who have received care at our facilities can request copies of their medical records or health information for personal use or to be released to third parties. If you've set up a patient portal account, you may already have access to the information you need. We recommend using our online medical records request system for a fast, easy, and secure process. You can access or register for your patient portal by clicking the provided link. For healthcare providers or third parties, please fax requests to (833) 689-1559.I was a recent patient and still do not feel well, can you help?
We're concerned to hear that you're not feeling well. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, we advise you to return to the emergency room immediately. For non-life-threatening issues during business hours, we offer several options including virtual care, in-person office visits, and urgent care walk-in appointments. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.What insurances are accepted?
Our facility currently accepts most major insurance plans.Cash pay and membership options?
We accommodate cash-paying patients and provide membership options that include fully covered visits and laboratory services. How can I access lab results?
We utilize Rupa Health to manage our laboratory processes. You can access your results through two methods: the Rupa Health dashboard (our preferred method) or your patient portal. Rupa Health will notify you via email or SMS when your results are ready, prompting you to create a password for dashboard access. Your results will be presented in an easy-to-understand format. Alternatively, lab results will be available in your patient portal under shared documents.
